About me

Hi, Im Carol DeAnda, born and raised in the southwest suburbs and now living in Lake in the Hills Illinois. I have always been the one with the camera since grade school, but it wasn't until high school I realized that this could be my calling. After high school, I attended Harrington College of Design for the Digital photography program and started on my path to becoming a professional photographer. I have been photographing families since 2008,  added weddings in 2010, and finally entered into headshots and real estate photography in 2014. I am a PPA member since 2012 and proud CPP (Certified Professional Photographer) as well as a member of The Wedding Equality Alliance. I also serve on the board of PPANI as the Program chair.

I became an educator in 2020 and have now spoken in multiple states teaching on family photography. I taught at WPPI in Vegas 2023, and will be a speaker at Imaging USA 2024 which is the largest Professional Photographer organization in the country that draws 10,000 + photographers to its conference each year.

I believe that love is love no matter what and am a strong supporter of marriage equality! Anyone who loves someone enough to want to spend their entire lives together deserves to have that love celebrated and remembered through photography.

I am obsessed with stripes, I never believed in that don't wear horizontal stripes rule! I am kind of a tv junkie, I love Severence, Silo, Gossip Girl, Big Brother, anything reality tv related, and way too many more to list. I absolutely love the band Fall Out Boy, Panic at the Disco and Korn. I have been a huge fan since I was a freshman in high school. Now you know a little bit about me, I want to know a little bit about you! Friend me on facebook or send me an email!
