How to Prepare for Your Headshot

What to Wear:

Solid colors or subtle patterns photograph best, jewel tones are great for women.
Choose fitted clothing over loose or baggy styles.
Layers, like blazers or jackets, add depth and structure.
Avoid logos, busy prints, or overly bright colors.
Bring multiple outfit options for variety.

Hair & Makeup Tips:

Keep makeup clean and natural; matte foundation helps reduce shine.
Hair should be neat and styled; if you’re due for a cut, schedule it a few days before your session.
Shave or groom facial hair as needed.

Glasses & Accessories:

If you wear glasses daily, bring a pair with an anti-glare coating, avoid transition lenses.
Keep jewelry minimal to avoid distractions.

The Day of Your Session:

Arrive with makeup and hair ready to go
Bring your clothing options with you, you can change at the studio to avoid wrinkles on the drive over.
Avoid sunburns, alcohol the night before, or new skincare treatments in the days before your shoot.
Stay hydrated and get a good night's sleep for a fresh, energized look.
